El pasado 24 de noviembre subió a YouTube el vídeo Good Riddance, de la mano de la marca Bye Jeremy, con base en París. Un conglomerado de clips altamente motivadores y frescos, ordenados y desordenados con un gusto tan refinado y un trasfondo tan sólido como el de la propia marca.

Creo que el cerebro detrás de esta puesta en escena tiene cierto deseo por mantenerse tras un velo de misterio y, aunque se trata de alguien conocido por muchos de nosotros, incluso familiar en el entorno de nuestro propio proyecto, su identidad quedará en la sombra, de momento, para dar luz a toda su magnífica creación. Así que, como otro día nos centraremos en los productos de Bye Jeremy y en su creador, hoy vamos a hablar un pelín del vídeo, sin hacer mucho spoiler y animando encarecidamente al lector de este blog a que invierta un cuarto de hora de su existencia, un desayuno, una merienda, una llamada del “momento All Bran”, 15 minutos y 26 segundos de su vida en mirar esta pequeña obra maestra de la actualidad.

Empezar con José Vivero, desde mi punto de vista, ya es empezar el ágape con ossobuco, es un desayuno a base de entrecot al roquefort regado con Ribera del Duero. Arrancamos la jornada con el plato fuerte. Este patinador, tan oculto a veces como talentoso, es como esos actores de Hollywood que salen de una privacidad hermética para hacer una película de Oscar y luego volver a un pueblo de la Toscana a reparar suelas de zapatos. Jose no abusa de los focos, pero cuando se expone a ellos, lo hace para dar que hablar. A partir de ahí, un elenco de jóvenes patinadores, como una ametralladora de clips, salta a pelear con sus danzarinas tablas las históricas calles y míticas plazas de la Ciudad de la Luz. Algunos de ellos son conocidos por mí y por muchos; como Thainan Costa, profesional por Enjoi, o Fidel Balthazar, habitual hace unos años de la escena barcelonesa, parte del que fuera el equipo de FTC Barcelona e hijo de una ilustre estrella del hip hop -cuya identidad tampoco voy a revelar por seguir con el rollo este misterioso de hoy y también por respeto, básicamente-. Otros de los que salen , hasta hoy, no estaban en mi radar, debido a la ignorancia y a los miles de kilómetros que separan mi domicilio de la ciudad de la Torre Eiffel.

Good Riddance, en lengua inglesa, es una expresión que se utiliza para despedirse de alguien o de algo indeseado hasta el momento de su partida. Algo así como esa expresión castellana que reza: “cierra al salir”, o, con más precisión, idéntica en significado a aquella otra expresión catalana que dice “bon vent i barca nova!”. Probablemente, expresiones equivalentes existan en otras lenguas del mundo, pues el despedirse de algo ingrato e intentar dejar claro ese alivio debe ser algo común sin importar el sitio. Entiendo que, cuando hay un trabajo detrás de un vídeo de estas dimensiones, acabarlo debe ser un alivio y saber que has hecho las cosas bien todavía más. No sé de quién o de qué se despide Bye Jeremy, pero en Petshop solo podemos darle la bienvenida.
