A estas alturas del partido nadie puede poner en entredicho el prestigio, reconocimiento o respeto que un nombre como Diego Bucchieri sugiere con solamente ser pronunciado. De hecho, ya hablamos un poco de él en una entrada de blog anterior dedicada a otra entrega audiovisual de su proyecto Cleaver, pero esta vez creo que tendremos que volver a ello, a raíz de su propia aparición en este ya más ambicioso vídeo que lleva hasta nuestras retinas acción por parte de todos los miembros de su cuidadosamente elegido equipo. Es que, en definitiva, una leyenda como Bucchieri no podía, ni debía rodearse de advenedizos de tercera y la talla de su equipo no puede pasar desapercibida ni en unos tiempos en que la sobredosis audiovisual de skateboarding puede hacer que dejemos pasar de largo entregas en formato Full Lenght, más todavía si hemos caído en la absolutamente banal trampa del TikTokeo fugaz que entierra el estilo y ha conducido a una hiperbólica fragmentación de lo que una vez fuera un verdadero arte: hacer putos vídeos de skate.

Si nos viajamos al interior del vídeo, a analizar lo que nos ofrece, simplemente diría que nos trae una buena dosis de skateboarding desde un prisma muy actual, con estilos bastante a la orden del día y una gran mezcla de rudeza y finura combinada de un modo en el que parece que jamás fueron características alejadas la una de la otra.

Encabeza el vídeo el capitán de este afilado buque, Bucchieri, con un buen puñado de clips que no pueden ser más que la envidia de un skater de su generación - y de las quinientas posteriores a él- ; clips que nos muestran un Diego estiloso y callejero, que quizás se distingue del irreductible animal que fuera en sus años mozos pero, a mi modo de ver, se ha refinado en en elegancia y selección de trucos, canalizando su enorme experiencia hacia los mejores lugares y ejecutando un patín atemporalmente bonito, sin que falten algunos buenos hammers, porque el que lo lleva en la sangre lo lleva y punto.

Luego irán sucediéndose todos los otros cartuchos de esta afilada arma blanca. Arma blanca que es a la vez arma de fuego, con clips cargados de originalidad y técnica que creo que sería caer en el más innecesario de los spoilers detallar ahora mismo. At this point, no one can question the prestige, recognition, or respect that a name like Diego Bucchieri evokes just by being mentioned. In fact, we already talked a bit about him in a previous blog post dedicated to another audiovisual release from his Cleaver project. But this time, I think we’ll need to revisit it, as a result of his own appearance in this more ambitious video, which brings to our screens action from all the members of his carefully selected team. After all, a legend like Bucchieri couldn’t, and shouldn’t, surround himself with third-rate newcomers, and the caliber of his team cannot go unnoticed—even in times when the audiovisual overdose of skateboarding might lead us to overlook full-length releases, especially if we’ve fallen into the utterly banal trap of fleeting TikTok trends, which bury style and have led to a hyperbolic fragmentation of what was once a true art form: making real skate videos.

If we dive into the video to analyze what it offers, I would simply say that it brings us a good dose of skateboarding from a very current perspective, with styles that are quite on-trend and large doses of roughness and finesse, combined in a way that makes it seem like they were never characteristics far apart from each other.

The video is led by the captain of this sharp ship, Bucchieri, with a good handful of clips that can only make skaters of his generation —and the five hundred after him— envious; clips that show us a stylish and streetwise Diego, who may be different from the untamable animal he once was in his younger years but, in my view, has refined his elegance and trick selection, channeling his vast experience into the best spots and executing a timelessly beautiful skateboarding style, without missing a few good hammers—because when it's in your blood, it’s in your blood, period.

Then, all the other rounds from this sharp blade will follow. A blade that is also a firearm, with clips loaded with originality and technique that I think would be the most unnecessary spoiler to detail right now.
